New to You?A little background on my biology resource page. Here is a sampling of the many resources I've come across while developing a non-text biology curriculum. These activities were shared with me through many colleagues, websites, and teaching blogs. To my knowledge, they are all of free use as I have not scanned in anything from print form or copyrighted texts, nor have I paid for any of them through subscriptions or other sites. The activities marked "ngai" at the end of the file name are originals and I welcome feedback if you decide to use them. I hope that these activities will inspire you and help you to find a curriculum or supplemental lesson that will assist your students in understanding and enjoying science!
Useful links for Biology Teachers: The Go-to Gurus!Massengale's Biology Junction: Tons of biology resources all for free use. Labs and resources for general science as well. Features a scroll bar to help navigate through curricular units.http://www.biologyjunction.com/
Foglia's Explore Biology Site: Resources, lessons, labs and lectures for Biology and AP Biology. Amazing amount of detail in all of her units and notes. http://www.explorebiology.com/ Hands-on Minds-on Biology Lessons: Great resources for lessons involving cooperative learning in biology. http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/sci_edu/waldron/ The Biology Corner: A more traditional curriculum. Provides excellent resources for independent work and supplemental worksheets for students needing extra help. http://www.biologycorner.com/ |
